Mr. Lee Bing Lun Ray

Mr. Lee Bing Lun was born in Hong Kong.   Known as Uncle Ray!

1979 Ray starts his career and his first job is working in clothing industry.

1983 Ray changes the job and begin in industrial drawing.

1992 Ray start to work for a company which in charge by Mr. Paul Wong who had received “The Ten Outstanding Young Men” in Hong Kong. This company is a new startup company wholly owned by Sun Hung Kai which is a leader in alternative investing headquartered in Hong Kong. Ray proposed that the new company should adopt computer graphics to replace the hand-painting at that time. In the same year, Ray obtains the task for painting the satellite wiring plans of 980 garden houses at California Garden in Wo Sang Wai, Yuen Long and California Mansion. The result is extremely successful and Ray becomes very famous in this field. Ray was headhunted by many other companies at that time!

1993 Ray starts as the funding member of the cable TV. Juvenile success!

1996 At that time, Hong Kong market is still using 14.4K/28.8K. Ray had daringly partner with a company engaged in 56K narrowband, Linkage Online/HKnet, assisting his investor in publishing and marketing a set of well-known as Computer Hackers Books. And this book received overwhelming response, so it is keep reprinting it for quite some times.

In 2000, Ray was a founding member of a real estate listed company. At that time, the company was determined to invest 200 million Hong Kong dollars in technology. Ray suggested to invite Andy Lau and Sammy Cheng who are very famous movie stars in Hong Kong, at opening day of their new company. In March of the same year, he suggested to lead ten colleagues for promoting their new service at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. And this is the first time for Ray to start his marketing life! Their company is offering brand new service is to switch 56K narrowband to 1.5M broadband. Their company was extremely successful during these four days of promotion. Their original target of their company is merely 200 orders but they obtained 660 orders due to special promotion tactic. They created the effect of long queues! During this event, Ray had signed up a credit card with broadband package discount with the vice president of IBA Bank. As well Ray signed up another agreement with Mr. Wu Chongwu successfully for holding their housing estate exhibitions at the same day. Mr Wu Chongwu is the right-hand man of Miss Nina Nguyen of Chinahem Group. Since Ray had the chance to work with many celebrities in Hong Kong, he becomes the management manager for many housing estates by helping them to establish the newly found telecom systems. At this period of times, Ray always has tough competition with another celebrity Ricky Wong Wai-kay who is a famous telecom and media entrepreneur in Hong Kong. Ray have been fighting for wireless fixed network provider at many owners’ corporation meetings in various housing estates. In mid-November 2001, OFTA started to launch licenses for various classes. Later on, various large housing estates such as Chinachem, Sino, Hang Lung and other estate companies collaborate with Ray’s company. Shantin City One introduced two big groups Hutchison and New World to adopt Ray telecom tunnels. Many other housing estates joined later on!

2002, Hutchison was promoting their new broadband project. Within one and half year time, Hutchison only managed to get 200 orders. At that time, Ray joined Welcome Group of which they are one of contracting company belong to Hutchison. Ray was assigned to lead 10 colleagues to promote this Hutchison broadband project. Out of the expectation, Ray obtained 50 orders on the second day and 201 orders on the third day. After that, Ray is assigned to lead this team for business development. At the peak time, company has a maximum of 140 employees. Unfortunately, the top management decided to close down their company at the end of October 2005 due to internal reason!

2007, Hong Kong government are still using 314.75-315.25 hertz. Mr. Zheng Jieming, the ownder of Satay King, invested more than 300K HKD to Ray for set up a company because he believed in Ray’s ability in telecom industry. The reason to set up this company is to help Mr. Zheng to get a telecom license in order to bring in “Table Call Wireless System”. With this system, customers don’t need to swing their hand but merely press a button of the bell at the table and then they will get the service. And this greatly reduce the efficiency of the working staff. And this system is still in use today!

From December 2007, beside the maintenance services for Satay King for the “Table Call Wireless System”, Ray aware about the business opportunity at that time is to bring China products to the market. Thus, he started to do Ebay CS and taking care of packaging and warehouse management. And his partner in Guangzhou is responsible for purchasing goods, packing, photo shooting etc. At the beginning period, the turnover is only one order per day. And the business grows rapidly to 500 orders per day. The annual net profit grows to 3 million HKD. And the clientele from local to overseas! Customers include English, France and Germany speakers eventually. And the Hong Kong office from 100 sq. ft to 2 units of 700 sq. ft. And the Guangzhou warehouse extent to 1400 sq. ft. Unfortunately, the eBay business start to drop due to European debt crisis in 2008. Due to the drop of margin, this eBay business is compelled to stop this operation at the 2nd half of 2012.

2020 In view of the new market situation in the Hong Kong due to the epidemic. Ray realized that there was another new business opportunity in Hong Kong. Since there are more and more people in Hong Kong enjoy online shopping through their trustworthy friends or online sales platform, therefor Ray integrated a team of KOLs and those individuals who has huge social network immediately. With this platform, they are helping different types of clienteles to promote their goods or services. And the result is extremely satisfactory! For future extend this business, Ray determined to join forces with BTC Consultant Company in order to expand this business to serve companies from Mainland China.
